My name is Alison Ercole, PhD candidate, MSN, CRNP, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C.

I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience serving individuals across the lifespan. I am also a nurse educator, educating future mental health NPs at the University of Pennsylvania. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I changed my in-person appointments to online appointments. During this time, I became interested in teenagers’ thoughts on using telehealth for outpatient mental health treatment because not all of my teen clients liked talking about personal information using telehealth. Now that the pandemic is over, many providers continue to offer telehealth appointments. I am a PhD candidate at the University of Arizona, and I want to find out how teens build relationships with health care providers when using telehealth for outpatient mental health care.
